Kimi Badnoush said that the local elections next week will be “very difficult” for the conservatives, as she insisted that criticism of her leadership of the party is wearing the predecessors.
The polls are held for more than 1,600 seats in the council in approximately 25 local authority in England on May 1. A handful of mayors is scheduled to be elected, and Westminster elections are also scheduled to be held in Runcorn and Helsby Nigel FarajUK reform against the Labor Party of Mr. Kerr Starmer.
“The vote comes just six months after the party leader Badenoch was elected last November and” it will be very difficult for us to move in such a short period of time, “she told BBC Radio 4 on Tuesday.
Badenoch’s attempt to manage expectations comes with an average conservative by 21 percent in opinion polls, as it ranked third behind the Labor Party, which has a average of 24 percent, and UK reform, at a rate of 25 percent.
When the local elections were held last time in these councils in 2021, the conservatives enjoyed the reversion in opinion polls from the Covid vaccine show, and the Minister of Presidential Boris Johnson was still very popular with the public.
In the four overlapping years, the party suffered from its worst in general elections last July, as it slipped from 365 to 121 deputies.
Badnoush did not ignore that her leadership came for severe criticism from his party, but she argued: “This happens to every leader for every party, even when they succeed. This happened to David Cameron, Theresa May, Boris Johnson – and this is politics.
She added: “The political function is to make difficult decisions and some people will feel uncomfortable. This is not a measure if we are doing a good job.”
In recent months, Badnouch has faced accusations about her work ethics, which some party officials have compared to Robert Jenrik, which was her final competition for the party’s crown and is now the Minister of Justice in the shadow.
While Jenrick has regularly published videos online covering a set of issues, critics complained about the low clarity of Badenoch in the media and the lack of a public debate agenda.
Some interviews have failed to obtain messages on the main topics, with one note that “lunch is dedicated to the dominant coverage of coverage, to irritate some of its deputies who wanted to focus on the areas where the government was weak, such as the economy.
However, she insisted that she wanted to spend time to reform the party’s policy bulletin in the opposition, instead of issuing new advertisements at the Press Week a week.
She said on Tuesday: “The protest parties are well afflicted at the present time, and it is really important to take time to obtain things correctly, rebuild confidence with the public and we have a reliable offer, and not only the things we wrote on the back of envelope for a newspaper or a radio interview.”
She said that a challenge to her achievement as a leader now in this role, she said: “The biggest thing that people will notice is that if you picked papers this time last year, you will have read about the ranks of the Conservative and Divergen Party.
