Diplomatic tensions

The attacks came at a critical moment in the Russian war in Ukraine, which began to invade Moscow on a large scale in 2022, with both Kiev and Moscow under pressure from US President Donald Trump to show progress towards a peace deal.

Trump threatened and managed to stay away from the efforts of the broker to the ceasefire if there is no progress, leaving European countries looking for ways to support Kiev.

Talks that included the United States, Ukraine and European officials stumbled to discuss Russia’s war in Ukraine with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio suddenly abolished his trip to London and negotiations were reduced.

The talks in London on Wednesday aim to achieve a “great progress” deal to reach a “joint position in the following steps”, according to a joint statement issued by Britain, France and Germany. However, the talks were reduced after a decision at the last minute by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio not to attend.

Trump seemed to blame Ukrainian President Folodimir Zellinski for the lack of progress after Zelinski said he would not know the occupation of the peninsula of the Peninsula of Crimea, which was included from Ukraine in 2014, as part of a peace deal.

Zelinski said on Tuesday that the recognition of the foreigner of Crimea as part of Russia would violate the constitution of Ukraine. Ukraine says it is committed to searching for a full and unconditional fire stop.

Russia also accused Zelinski of integrating diplomacy aimed at reaching a peace agreement after this week he refused to agree to realize the inclusion of Russian Crimea.

Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova on Thursday in Russia told Russia that he became more clear at the moment Zelinski lacks negotiating an agreement to end the war.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrei Sibha said on X that “brutal strikes” in Kiev showed that Russia, not Ukraine, was an obstacle to peace.

There was no immediate comment from Russia on overnight attacks.
