The authorities said that at least 28 people had passed away and 160 others were injured in the Dominican capital early Tuesday when the ceiling collapsed in a creative nightclub where politicians, athletes and others attended the Miringo party.
Emergency Operations Director Juan Manuel Mendes said that the crews were looking for potential survivors in the rubble in a single -storey nightclub in Santo Domingo.
“We assume that many of them are still alive, and for this reason the authorities will not surrender here so that one person does not remain under these rubble,” he said.
Nearly 12 hours of the collapse of the upper part of the nightclub on sponsors, the rescue sets still pulled the survivors of the debris.
