Lee Hendry has urged Jack Grealish to make an exciting return to Aston Villa.
The England international, who played 39 times, moved to Manchester City for 100 million pounds in the summer of 2021.
Since then, he has scored 14 goals and provided 20 assists in 143 appearances in all competitions, helping Pep Guardiola’s men win three Premier League titles and a Champions League among a host of other major honours.
However, Grealish has not always kept his place in the starting line-up at the Etihad Stadium.
Over the past two seasons, for example, Grealish has started just 16 Premier League matches, with a further 17 coming off the bench.
Jack Grealish returns to Aston Villa?

At 29 years old, Grealish will be well aware that the time has come for him to be a regular starter before his career starts to wind down.
And the previous one villa Midfielder Hendry believes a return to his old club could be exactly what Grealish needs – although he admits the finances of such a deal could be somewhat ‘complicated’.
“I would love to see Jack Grealish return to Aston Villa,” Hendry said (via Grealish is Villa in every sense of the word). Birmingham World).
“I remember speaking to him when he signed for City, I was commentating on one of their matches, we had an in-depth conversation, and he was saying that he was finding it difficult to adapt to the new environment. I told him, keep it going and enjoy your football. It is time to move on and win trophies, and that Exactly what he did.
“He is a wonderful person; He has a huge heart. I don’t think we’ve seen the best version of Grealish at City, or the one stepping on the grass and enjoying himself. We’ve only seen snippets, but I think Jack is basically playing the way his manager tells him to.
“When I watch Jack play for England, it’s like he’s a different person. He plays with more freedom. If you look at his contributions, goals and assists, you could say it was disappointing for him, but we know he has great quality, and we know he can Contribute much more.
“It is the stage now where Jack is likely to consider leaving the football club. No one can deny that his transfer has not been a success, he has won everything there is to win during his time there, but I think for himself that he needs to find the joy in playing.” Again he would be an asset to any top football club I would love for Villa, but do they have the financial resources to bring him back potentially a complex deal to complete.
“I know the Villa fans have given him some support, but I think they would love to see him back at Villa Park. He’s not coming for a payday. He’s coming to win something with Villa and help take the club to a higher level. It would be great if he came back. I feel he should go. Leaving Manchester City for the time being to find some enjoyment in his game.
