“Are a large number of population a blessing or a curse?” This is what he said

What happens when capitalism is running out of scarcity? This is the question that Necal Caath asked to Bill Gates in the latest episode of the podcast, where he asked the co-founder in her Zerud frankly: “In the world of tomorrow, 10 years from now, from a very capital lens-is a large number of population or greatness?”

Although there is no answer yes or no, a comprehensive vision of a future was presented with artificial intelligence-where traditional capitalist frameworks are no longer applied.

“Let’s say 20 years from now, Amnesty International has changed things enough … Perhaps this pure capitalist framework will not explain much,” Gates said. With artificial intelligence advanced across both areas with white and blue collars with blue collars-from office work to the factory floors and even the home management of the hotel-it is believed that the scarcity of historical labor will melt.

“We have always had deficiency – employees, teachers, people to work in factories … there is no shortage,” Gates explained. “It is a largely deep change that will free a lot of time. You can retire early. You can work for shorter work weeks.”

Gates argues that this shift will force “philosophical rethink” about how we appreciate and spend time, especially when basic production – food, goods and health care – no longer requires the same human inputs. “We will create free intelligence,” he said, adding that even the knowledge value of the doctor can be identical or overlooked by machines.

He used health care as a major example: “India has more doctors from Africa, but nearly their number is still as it should. Artificial intelligence will come and provide medical intelligence rate, and there will be no shortage.”

Gates admitted that Gates, who reflects his own upbringing in a world of permanent deficiency, is still completely difficult to understand. “The markets revolve around scarce resources … I find myself trying to understand this future world.”

Whether this transformation comes in 20 or 30 years, Gates said, it is not far. “My children – and certainly my grandchildren – will be a lot of their lives in this very changing world.”
