Ange Poktekoglou’s future at Tottenham is under serious threat heading into 2025 and the January transfer window could play a big role in saving the Australian coach’s job.

The first half of the 2024/25 season has been a disappointing one at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with the north London club currently sitting in 11th place in the Premier League table after 19 matches due to a miserable run of form.

Tottenham have won just two of their last 13 matches, causing a lot of discontent among the Tottenham fan base – leading to Thomas Frank has been linked to the role.

Injuries played a major role in this, with the former Celtic boss employing a patchwork defense for weeks in which he was without his best goalkeeper and key centre-back pairing. This could see Postecoglou bought in for some time, as well as Spurs being in the Carabao Cup semi-finals and being in a good position to progress to the next round of the Europa League.

New January signings could also help turn things around for the north London club, and ahead of the January transfer window, a key man was spotted during Tottenham’s draw with Wolves on Sunday.
