Podgorica, Montenegro The gunman who started shooting at a restaurant in southern Montenegro killed 12 people, including two children, a prosecutor said on Thursday.
“Twelve people were killed, including two children,” prosecutor Andriana Nastic told reporters in Cetinje, bringing the previous death toll to at least ten in Wednesday’s attack.
Police said early Thursday that the gunman died after shooting himself in the head.
Police said the killing spree began around 5:30 pm local time (1630 GMT) on Wednesday in the village of Bagis, near the southern town of Cetinje.

The prosecutor said the victims were killed in five different locations, the first four being in the restaurant.
She added: “Every site was searched and evidence was taken. Prosecution and police procedures are still ongoing to determine the circumstances in which the event occurred.”
Four people were seriously injured and were taken to a hospital in the capital, Podgorica.
Health Minister Vojislav Simon said on Thursday that the lives of three of them were still in danger.
The police ruled out a “confrontation between organized criminal groups.”
They said the firearms used were illegal.
The government declared three days of national mourning, starting Thursday.
Mass shootings are rare in the small Balkan country.
