Prince Harry’s lawyer warned his “life at stake” of the changes in his security after he stepped down from the royal duties, as the prince returned to the Royal Justice Courts in London on Wednesday because of his appeal about the changes in his protection in Britain.
Harry, the youngest son of King Charles, is trying to cancel the decision of the Ministry of Interior, the ministry responsible for the police, which in 2020 decided that he would not receive personal police security automatically while he was in Britain.
His lawyer, a martyr of Fatima, told the court, “One should not forget the human dimension of this case,”
She had said in the files of the court that was published on Tuesday that al -Qaeda had recently called for the killing of Harry and that his wife, Megan, participated in a “dangerous chase with photographers in New York City” in 2023.
Prince Harry, who includes his nickname Duke Sussex, retreated from his royal duties in 2020. He now lives in California with his wife Megan, Duchess of Sussex, and their two children.
His challenge was rejected last year, as the Supreme Court ruled that the decision was legal, but he was granted permission to appeal.
Harry, 40, gave regularly his legal team on the last day of the two -day hearing, sometimes shaking his head, as government lawyers argued that it was the correct decision to adopt a “detailed” approach to his security.
James Edi, who represents the Ministry of Interior, said: “The basis for making decisions and the detailed approach that was adopted is that he had positive advantages from a security evaluation point of view.”
After part of the hearing on Wednesday on specific security arrangements, Fatima said that the case was very important for Harry.
She said: “His presence here and throughout this call is a strong clarification, one need was, and the extent of this call for him and his family.”
Fatima added that Harry had been told that he was getting a “specially dedicated operation … he knows and witnessed an inferior process in all respects.”
Prince Harry will receive “great” damage after settling a lawsuit with the newspapers of the news group in Robert Murdoch, which publishes the UK newspaper Tablloide the Sun and others. He also received an apology for a “dangerous storm” in his private life using illegal means.
