NVIDIA releases what is called a basic model of artificial intelligence of human robots.
Announced in GTC 2025 in San JoseThe model, called GROOOT N1, is a “general” model, trained on both artificial and real data. In a video clip of Groot N1, NVIDIA says it is characterized by the “dual system structure” for “fast and slow thinking”, inspired by human cognitive processes.
Groot N1 is an evolution for the NVIDIA GROOT project, which the company launched at the GTC conference last year. Project Groot is directed towards industrial use, but Groot N1 expands the focus on human robots in a group of different shape factors.
The Groot N1 system allows slow thinking to realize the robot and its cause about its environment and instructions, then plan the correct measures that must be taken, according to NVIDIA. As for the rapid thinking system, it translates the above plan into automatic actions, including procedures that involve the processing of objects in multiple steps.
Groot N1 is available in an open source. Besides the model, NVIDIA releases simulation frameworks and plans to generate artificial training data.
“The era of public robots is here,” Jensen Huang, CEO of Nafidia, said in a statement.
Human robots have attracted a lot of advertising in recent years. Companies like x1 and appearance It tries to create robots for general purposes that move more or less like humans. The challenges are enormous, but these companies claim that technology has reached the point where the human robotic systems produced by totalitarianism are a realistic goal in the short term.
the a lot Hope disappointments In the history of the last robots, it indicates that it will be easier to say than achieving it.
