Some of Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s favorite books that offer “escapism” from reality include fantasy books such as the “Harry Potter” series.

Dee Dee manipulated medical professionals, family, and the public into believing that Gypsy had numerous serious health problems, including leukemia, muscular dystrophy, epilepsy, and other chronic diseases. She also claimed that Gypsy had a developmental delay, ensuring she was completely dependent on her mother.
