Al-Hawl camp in northeastern Syria houses about 6,000 women and children, family members of ISIS fighters who were captured or killed. The camp is guarded by US-backed forces that control about a quarter of Syria’s area. Holly Williams entered the dangerous camp, whose future became ambiguous after the fall of former President Bashar al-Assad’s regime.
