Pep Guardiola says he is happy with how Manchester City played another loss.

The Premier League champions won 2-0 defeat on Juventus, which condemned them to 22 in 22 in the Champions League.

The city took control of a lot of the game in Turin, but it was hit on the table for both goals.

However, Guardiola defended his players although he was only one victory in 10 for the Spanish.

Speaking to TNT SPORTS after the match, he said: “We played well, really good.

“We acknowledge a little, some transition happened, but I am very proud of these players.

“They give everything and try and now we live in this period and we hope we can change the results.

“I know it is difficult, in the Champions League. We really played well. Today, we have achieved well, and we haven’t lost many balls as in the past, we tried, we got to the situations.

“Against Italian teams, the defense is very deep, very compressed. The master of this kind of positions. We play who we are and lost the result but the performance exists.

“We have two games, we need one point perhaps.

“You go to Turin, Paris, our three matches were really far away.

It seems unlikely that the city is now qualified for the next round of the Champions League automatically.

Instead, they will have to enter through a separate tour to finish between 9 and 24.

If they win, they will win a place in the last 16 of the competition.

But as Guardiola stated, they may need at least another point of their games against Paris Saint -Germain and Bruges Club.
