Sydney Thunder batsman Sam Konstas was the only Warrior for his side in the ongoing Big Bash League (BBL) 2024-25 match against the Perth Scorchers. The match between the two teams will be held at the Sydney Showdown Stadium in Sydney.
Sam Konstas, who lit up the stage during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25, continued his good form with the bat and proved his prowess with the bat in the ongoing Big Bash League (BBL) 2024-25 tournament against Sydney Thunder.
Sam Konstas, in the ongoing match against Perth Scorchers, has played a very mature innings and is making sure he stays there till the end for his team. He seemed unfazed by the falling wickets at the other end and makes sure he scores quick runs for his team as well.
During the start of his innings, Sam Konstas was also on the receiving end of a bad knock. In the third ball of the eighth ball, Sam Billings advanced down the track against Mahli Birdman. But he went hard and hit it right at Ashton Turner midway through the game.
Konstas, at the non-striker’s end, took a few steps forward to put in a quick shot. However, Ashton Turner, midway through the game, came up with a shot. He missed the stumps, but the ball continued to hit the Sydney Thunder batsman in the ribs as he appeared in pain from the impact of the ball.

Sam Konstas slams a blistering half-century for Sydney Thunder, finishing with a 53-run innings from 42 balls
Sam Konstas slammed a powerful half-century for the Sydney Thunder in the ongoing match. Despite the fall of wickets at the other end, the batsman looked with great touch and ensured that his team crossed 100-plus runs, which had seemed impossible at one stage.
Sam Konstas finished with a 53-run innings off 42 balls. He batted at a strike rate of around 127 and also slammed 5 fours and 6 sixes in his innings. Apart from him and Chris Green, no other batsman crossed the 20-run mark, which says a lot about the team’s poor performance.
For Perth Scorchers, Cooper Connolly was one of the performers carrying the ball. Apart from his economical spell with the ball, he removed Sam Billings and what caught the attention of many was that he gave a unique celebration after taking the wicket.
Connolly shot himself in the arm and Billings backed away slightly in an attempt to force him offside. The ball slid and hit the top of leg stump after being bowled. Then came the famous bow and arrow celebration.
