“As fire arrives at our doorstep, please stay connected to each other; community in times like these is our lifeline,” she added. “We’re all safe but the fire is slowly getting closer to my paradise in Malibu. When I was a waitress at the Malibu Adobe in 1989, I dreamed of a house like this (for me) and worked hard for it. I’m sad, but I’m sending all my love to all the first responders and firefighters who are making Whatever they can to keep us safe!!!”

A day later, Lee told her followers that her house had “disappeared” in an emotional video posted to Instagram.
“For all your prayers – thank you. I’m trying to process all of this… I’m really grateful that we’re all safe,” a visibly upset Lee said in the video. “My house is over – I cried all night and thought about every room, nook and cranny. It was perfect and now it’s just ashes. Please keep our community, firefighters and first responders in your prayers. It’s not over yet – not even close.”
However, Lee said Thursday she was unsure if her house was still standing, as she had received conflicting reports.

“Last night, I was told that my house was lost in the fire. I didn’t sleep all night. All I did was cry and think about it. An hour ago I got a call from my real estate agent telling me that my house had been destroyed. It’s still there,” she wrote on Instagram. And so were the neighbors’ houses.” “My neighbor got a phone call from her dear friend who said she had just driven by the two houses and they were gone – everything was gone!”

“I got a call from my insurance broker saying he can’t even go down the street and no one is allowed into PCH,” she continued. “I haven’t been to my house for two days. I have no idea what’s going on. This is the most stressful thing and I’m just trying to stay calm, but I feel such a loss. I can’t see my house, I don’t know if my friends and family’s houses are standing or my house is standing.”
She added: “I’m completely anxious, I’m completely emotional and I feel incredibly exhausted, but the most important thing is that everyone is okay.” “I’m praying for our homes, our memories, and our community. My heart breaks for the neighbors I know who have lost their homes. Thank you to everyone who has reached out. I don’t know.”

“I would say I had the most challenging decade of my life.”
