Former President Jimmy Carter was buried on Thursday (January 9) in Washington, D.C. The funeral was attended by many prominent politicians, including the former President. Barack Obama And the president-elect Donald Trump. Michelle Obama was not at her husband’s side, but he seemed to agree with Trump’s presence.

Michelle aside The Associated Press reports All living former presidents and their spouses were present at Jimmy Carter’s funeral. Barack and Donald sat in the front pews of the Washington National Cathedral behind only President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris and their spouses.

Who else was friendly at the funeral?
Despite the widely circulated photos and videos, the Associated Press said that former Democratic President Bill Clinton and his Republican successor, George W. Bush, also spoke warmly with Trump. In addition, the President-elect shook hands with former Vice President Mike Pence. You may remember that Pence was a loyal ally until he refused to go along with Trump’s efforts to remain president after losing the 2020 election to Biden.
While Barack Obama and Bill and George seemed to have a friendly energy toward the Donald, Gov. Gavin Newsom recently returned to Trump’s path. The day before Carter’s funeral, the president-elect took to Truth Social to blame Newsom for the wildfires currently raging in California. On the other hand, Gavin and his communications director accused Trump of playing politics during a deadly crisis.
