Marvel and Capcom share the stage
Battle Collection Marvel vs. Capcom: Arcade Classics includes seven classic games that helped shape the series. Your included X-Men: Children of the Atom, Marvel Super Heroes, X-Men vs. Street Fighter, Marvel Super Heroes vs Street Fighter, Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super HeroesAnd, of course, Marvel vs. Capcom 2.
You can enjoy these seven titles in either single or multiplayer mode, cooperatively or competitively, locally or online.
Online play is smooth because it eliminates input lag and instead opts to use rollback netcode. What do these mean exactly? Well, in online games, it takes time for each player’s button command information to reach each player’s controllers due to the distance. If players press their buttons at the exact same time, they won’t know until the information from their opponent’s controller reaches them. The input delay waits for either action to be performed until the controller hears from its remote counterpart. This keeps the game in sync, but adds a noticeable delay to the buttons you press and what you see happening on screen.
When using retreat, your fighter acts immediately by simply pressing the buttons, without waiting for information from the other controller. Once the other controller’s information reaches yours, the game compensates by jumping the other player forward, synchronizing the game. This provides a lag-free experience and in fighting games, any input lag can feel sluggish and negatively impact the game. Rollback netcode provides a smoother overall player experience.
Also added to the game collection is a brand new training mode and high-score challenge to hone and show off your skills.
Now, you can grab Battle Collection Marvel vs. Capcom: Arcade Classics at a discounted price of just $34.
