2024 was the last Specified year Generative artificial intelligenceputting software features into the hands of millions of people around the world and being inescapably integrated into popular services, e.g Google search. While some AI tools, e.g Advanced audio mode in ChatGPT and Google NotebookLMIt was a pleasure to interact with her, but the prevailing narrative remained one of the technology’s inherent flaws, with rampant hallucinations and persistent questions about proper data training.
I mean, who could forget Shrimp Jesus And other surreal AI-generated images spreading across Facebook? Or when AI Overviews told Google users that it’s okay to eat rocks in moderation, too Put glue on the pizza? It was a year where weird AI-generated content was everywhere.
Here at WIRED, 2024 has been an eventful year Exciting investigations, Deep conversationsand Comprehensive reviews of the tool. This quiz, which reviews our journalism throughout the year, captures only a small portion of the hard work and brilliant pieces done by my colleagues.
