Kassem said, referring to the Lebanese officials: “Pressing America and making it understand that Lebanon cannot rise if the aggression does not stop,” noting the Lebanese officials. He added that the United States has interests in Lebanon and “stability achieves these interests.”

Qasim said that the priority should be for the full Israeli withdrawal from Lebanon, ending the Israeli strikes in the country, and the release of the Lebanese people held in Israel since the official war ended on November 27.

Hezbollah began firing rockets and drones in Israel the day after its ally Hamas would stand up to the October 7, 2023 attack, and Israel responded with a mass bombardment in Gaza. About 1,200 people were killed in Israel and kidnapped 251 others during the attack in southern Israel.

The war caught last September when Israel carried out waves of air strikes throughout Lebanon and most of the group’s leaders were assassinated, including Hassan Nasrallah. The fighting was killed by more than 4000 people in Lebanon, and most of them were civilians.

The Lebanese government said earlier this month that 190 people were killed and 485 were wounded in Lebanon by Israeli strikes since the ceasefire arrived.
