The power outage causes chaos in Spain and Portugal

The huge power pieces hit large parts of Spain and Portugal on Monday, causing widespread chaos and turmoil.

The interruption left millions of people without electricity, while the Internet and the phone also decreased.

The trains were canceled and evacuated in some areas, and traffic lights stopped working with delays installed in airports.

With stores, homes and restaurants in the dark – and some people stuck in the elevators – the electricity network in Spain by mid -afternoon said that energy restoration could take several hours.

Political leaders of Spain said that the cause of the turmoil was still unknown, but there was no indication of an electronic attack.

The first reports of power outages It started around the middle of the day (10:00 GMT) on Monday and its effect rapidly escalated.

Spanish media reported that some hospitals have carried out emergency plans, including stopping routine work, news agencies said.
