Israel launches an air strike on the southern outskirts of Beirut

Israel carried out an air strike on the southern outskirts of Beirut on Sunday, after it ordered the evacuation of a building that he said was used by the Iranian -backed party group.

The attack occurred despite the ceasefire, which entered into force five months ago, which put an end to the conflict between Israel and the military group.

Israel said it had targeted the Hezbollah store of “accurate missiles”, which “pose a threat to the State of Israel and its civilians.”

The Civil Defense Lebanon said later that no victims were recorded and that the rescue crews have extinguished the fire.

In a statement of X after the strike, the Lebanese presidency said that President Joseph Aoun condemned the attack.

She wrote: “The United States and France, as guarantees to stop the fighting agreement, should bear its responsibilities and forcing Israel to stop immediately its attacks.”

“Israel’s continuous undermining will exacerbate tensions and expose the region to real threats to its security and stability.”

The government of Israel said it had targeted the Hezbollah store from “accurate guided missiles.”

The Israeli army said in a statement, “Storing the missiles at the infrastructure location constitutes a flagrant violation of understanding between Israel and Lebanon, and constitutes a threat to the State of Israel and its worlds,” the Israeli army said in a statement.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office said that Israel “will not allow Hezbollah to grow stronger.”

He added: “The Dahiya neighborhood in Beirut will not be a safe haven for the terrorist organization Hezbollah.”

The United Nations Special Coordinator in Lebanon, Janine Hennis Blaschire, wrote on X that the strike “was born panic and fear of renewing violence between those who are desperate to return to normal life.”

She added, “We urge all parties to stop any procedures that can undermine the understanding of the understanding of hostilities.”
