Russian security forces say they had detained Ukrainian spy accused of killing a major Russian general in an attack on a car in the outskirts of Moscow on Friday.
The FSB Secret Service said it had arrested the Ukrainian Special Service Undersecretary, who “planted explosives in Golf Volkswagen” to kill General Yaroslav Muscalik.
General Musakalik was the deputy head of the main operational Directorate of the General Marks of the Army. He died after walking outside the parked car outside his house in the suburb of Al -Sheikh.
FSB said that Kuzin fled the car with a homemade explosive device, then the bomb was launched remotely from Ukraine.
Ukraine did not comment on the bombing.
FSB said the suspect was recruited by Ukraine in 2023, and led to Moscow in September of that year.
The Russian media also reported that FSB had released a video clip showing the detained man giving clear confession, as well as clips of his gathering and bomb components.
On Friday, the Kremlin blamed Ukraine for the attack, saying that Kiev “continues to participate in terrorist activities inside our country.”
General Musaqalik Russia represented in talks with Ukraine in Paris in 2015, which led to the failed Minsk agreements aimed at ending the fighting in the Donbas region between Ukraine and the Russian -backed separatist forces that started in 2014.
Russia launched a large -scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.
