President Donald Trump told correspondents at the Oval Office on Tuesday that the total tariff imposed on China, which is currently 145 percent, will decrease significantly but “will not be zero.”

“Any claims about the progress of Chinese commercial negotiations and the United States of America are baseless from an attempt to arrest the wind and have no realistic basis,” said Yadong.
“The United States has begun to increase the international tariff for increasing customs tariffs. If the United States really wants to solve the problem, the rational voices of the international community and all parties at home, and cancel all of the unilateral tariff measures against China, and find ways to solve differences through equal dialogue.”
He added, “China’s position is consistent and we are open to consultations and dialogues, but any form of consultations and negotiations must be made on the basis of mutual respect in an equal way.”

Trump said on Tuesday that the huge tax rate of 145 % must pay the price of Chinese imports to be dramatically reduced.
While Trump said the rate “will not be zero”, he expressed optimism about a possible business deal with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
“One hundred and forty percent is very high, and that will not be high,” Trump told reporters at the Oval Office. “It will drop significantly, but it will not be zero.”

While Trump did not explain in detail the low definition rates, a commercial agreement with China may “work very well.”
“They will do a very good job, and I think they will be happy, and I think we will live together with great happiness and ideal work together,” Trump said.
