Connor Cody says he was “destroyed” by Leicester City, his first career. But while he accepts that he deserves, he is convinced that the gap between the championship and the Premier League can be blocked – if the lessons are learned.

“I can talk to you about this all day because I have opinions about it and see the opinions of others and agree on some and I do not agree with others. But I only think that with the coming clubs, we can better prepare ourselves. I really believe in that.

“We were not good enough. This is everything and final. I take responsibility. But to get the best possible chance to do a good job, if the club finds itself in a position that you may not expect, we have to adapt to that. We did not do it well.”

This is a sign, in part, to the fact that Leicester came from the championship after he won the title under the leadership of Eno Marisca. They boasted by 62.2 percent of this season, as they played in a distinct style, a clear idea that was created in the shadow of the Italian.

“Because this club is in a position in which it should not be.”
