Resort were found by the search and rescue teams after a swimmer was subjected to a shark off the coast of northern Israel on Monday, the firefighting and rescue body in the country says.
The remaining remains on Tuesday afternoon were transferred to the Criminal Medicine Institute for identification.
The local media said that the missing swimmer was a 40 -year -old man from central Israel.
The very rare accident occurred at the sea in Hadira, about 40 km (25 miles) north of Tel Aviv. People can be heard on Olga Beach screaming in shock in clips posted on social media.
It is known that sharks are gathering there as warm water is discharged by the local power plant, especially at this time of the year, but they are usually not harmful.
There have been no deadly shark attacks registered in water off Israel since the country’s founding in 1948.
The police closed the beach as the rescue teams looked for the missing man.
In the online joint video, a man can be seen at a distance of a few hundred feet to the sea. He sees him wandering as people shout on the beach as being attacked.
“I was in the water, I saw the blood and there were screams,” witnesses, Elijah Motai, told Ynet News to Ynet News.
“I was a few meters away from the beach,” he said. “It is terrifying. We were here yesterday and we saw sharks revolving around us.”
It is known that Dusky and Sandbar sharks gather in the area, which is dominated by the Orot Rabin Power station, the largest in Israel.
It is attracted by the water improved by the plant and fish that are transported there from a nearby current.
The Monday incident is only the fourth documented shark attack in the history of Israel, according to Ynet.
