“We lacked emotional balance” – Paulo Fonseca explains the collapse of Lyon in Old Trafford

Paulo FONSECA believes that Lyon “lacks an emotional balance” after 4-2 against Manchester United and pointed to their celebrations as a reason for their collapse to an additional 5-4 loss in a wonderful second match from the quarter-finals of the European League.

Malik Fovana, who won the punishment that Lacazette transformed, chanted the feelings of his coach.

“I think everyone is disappointed because we played a very good match, but in the end, it was not enough,” said Fovana.

“I think we have been slightly afraid. We thought it was over, but big matches like that – it never ended. In the end, we have to expect more ourselves, especially in such matches. I think it is a match that I will not forget.”
