Hamas says it has lost our contact with the hostage of the United States of Israel in Gaza

Hamas says it “lost contact” with a group of fighters carrying an American -Israeli hostage in Gaza, following an Israeli strike on their site.

The 21 -year -old soldier, Aidan Alexander, appeared in video clips released by the group in recent days.

Israel requested that he be released on the first day of the 45 -day ceasefire proposal Hamas rejected it.

Hamas did not indicate Tuesday for how long the communication was lost and no evidence of their demand was provided. Israel regularly confirms that it avoids hitting sites that the hostages believe are being held.

“We announce that we have lost our contact with the group that detained the soldier Elevin Alexander after a direct blow to their site,” Hamas spokesman Abu Obida said in a statement.

“We are still trying to reach them at this moment,” he added.

Of the 251 hostages, they were captured during the Hamas attack for the year 2023, 59 remained in the pocket, and it is believed that 24 of them are alive.

It is believed that five hostages in Gaza are American citizens and Alexander is believed to be the only one who is still alive.

Hamas later on Tuesday released a video clip directed at the families of the remaining hostages, warning that they will return to coffins if Israel continues its military attack in Gaza.

On Saturday, Hamas released a video of Alexander alive in which he calls for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Trump to negotiate his release.

“Alexander was part of an Israeli ceasefire proposal for 45 days, which involves” firing half of the hostages in the first week of the agreement, “the official said.

A senior Palestinian official told the BBC: “The Israeli proposal transferred to the movement through Egypt, explicitly called for the disarmament of Hamas without any Israeli commitment to end the war or withdraw from Gaza, and thus Hamas refused the offer in its entirety.”

Since Israel relied on its attack in Gaza, at least 1,630 people have been killed – with the total killing in 18 months of the war reached 51,000, according to the latest figures from the Hamas Ministry of Health.
