Within the occupied West Bank, the Israeli settlement of Karnei Shomron is one of more than a hundred settlements excavated in Palestinian territory. Today, more than 700,000 Israelis live in communities spread across the West Bank and East Jerusalem, which the United Nations describes as illegal. About 15% of the settlers are Americans. Reporter Seth Duane speaks with two settlers, originally from West Virginia and Detroit, and with Palestinians in the West Bank who now live on the other side of Israel’s security wall.
