“Heart disease has not found any issues that are likely to be important in the death of the horse.

“As we mentioned earlier, the circumstances surrounding death – as with any fatal injury – are reviewed in detail. Post -death is part of this process. In addition, Grand National is always reviewed in detail after each group of race by BHA and the Faris Club.”

The Racey Stewars team suspended the knight Micheal Nolan for 10 days (April 19-26, 3 and 5 May) after it ended that he “continued to race when the horse seemed no longer giving it and was losing clearly after the second wall.”
