The Palestinian journalist, 9 wounded, was killed after the Israeli hit a media tent, says the paramedics.

A Palestinian journalist was killed on Monday and nine others were decisively injured, when an Israeli air strike was hit by a tent used by local media in southern Gaza, the doctor, and the local journalists Union.

The footage of the people trying to nullify the fire in the tent, inside the Nasser Hospital complex in Khan Yunis, during the early hours of Monday. Reuters managed to check the video from the place, planning and designing nearby buildings and tents. Date can be verified through media reports and assertion videos.

It seems that other shots were published on social media but have not been verified by Reuters showing that the tent has been burned on the ground, along with furniture and equipment inside. The pictures that seem to show a journalist in fire, and another person trying to save him, has been widely shared.

The Israeli authorities did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Gaza, doctors in Gaza, said that a second Palestinian was killed in the attack.

Later, dozens of journalists and relatives participated in the funeral of the dead journalist, Hilmi Faqi. Class colleagues carried his white body on a medical stretch with his blue jacket full of huta placed on top.

“We will continue to present the message and transfer the truth to the whole world. This is our human duty,” said his colleague, journalist Abdel -Shahat, who added that they had woke up before the strike to find the tent of their colleagues near their colleagues over the fire.

The death of Faqawi has raised the number of journalists who have been killed by the Israel campaign in Gaza to more than 210 since October 2023, according to the Palestinian Journalists Syndicate.
