Bollywood actor and director died in 87

Veteran Bollywood actor and director, Manuj Kumar, died at the age of 87 in the financial capital of India, Mumbai.

His son, Konal Josouami, told Ani that Kumar was fighting health issues for a long time.

Kumar leaves behind a rich legacy of national films, which prompted him to fame in the 1960s and 1970s.

Kumar, who was originally called Harichan Josouami, was born in 1937 in the northern Punjab state.

He carved a position for himself in the Indian cinema industry with films like a martyr and Ruti Kabada Ur Maccation and Canti. His films, known for their national enthusiasm, became famous for a chord with the Indian public.

Kumar won many awards over the years, including Badma Shri – the fourth highest civilian award in India.

His contributions earned him the Dadasahb Phaleke Award, which is the highest cinematic honor in India.

It is famous for flowing on social media for mourning for his death.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi described him as “an icon for Indian cinema.”

“Manoj Ji (the duration of respect in India) has ignited the spirit of national pride and will continue to inspire generations,” he wrote in a post on X.

Director Ashok Bandit said that his death was “a great loss for the (cinema) industry” and that the entire industry would miss him.
