The association, which hosts the White House correspondent dinner, canceled its main comedy performance of this year after tensions with the Trump administration.

The performance of the comedian Amber Roven was scheduled to perform the annual dinner next month, but the White House Representative Association announced on Saturday that it had canceled its appearance.

In a memo to the members, the association said that “the concentration of the event is not on the policy of division”, but rather is to honor the work of journalists at the White House.

The move comes after the White House attacked the association to choose Roven as a major title because of its criticism of US President Donald Trump.

Taylor Podwich, the White House deputy chief of staff, was a response to the association’s decision to cancel Roven’s performance by saying he was a “policeman.”

“No accountability at Whica, just a police statement – pity!” Budowich wrote on Saturday in a post on X.

Roven, comedian and writer Amy and Tony, continued as “full of hatred.”

Whica Eugene Daniels President Roven announced as the main headlines last month, saying that she was chosen because “her unique talents are the ideal occasion for this current political and cultural climate.”

Roven, a writer at NBC late at night with Seth Maires, mocked the Trump administration in recent weeks in its segments in the show, including his order to rename the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America.

WHCA has been at odds with the Trump administration in recent weeks.

Among the other issues are the decision to prevent the Associated Press from covering certain events, and the White House decision to directly control the press group – the group of journalists who cover the White House and travel with the American President.

It is not clear whether Trump will attend this year’s correspondence dinner. Among the artists of the former dinner John Stewart, Stephen Kulbert, Konan O’Brien, Jay Lino and others.
